Its About Niches: From PC Geek to Internet Marketer

Once upon a time there came the invention of the PC. It brought the ability to do amazing things in your own home that were never possible before. At first I sold PC's for various large and small businesses alike. It was a very profitable occupation.

But before too long every Tom, Dick and Harry decided to get in the game too. And low and behold came all kinds of discount resellers throwing products out their doors as fast as they could.

This killed what was once a very professional and lucrative industry with high profit margin into a free for all to see who could make the fastest buck regardless of taking care of the consumer.

Rather than try to compete with and ever diluted PC market, I took another route.

I started a PC service company dedicated to providing on-site style support, training, installation and general services. I also built custom PC's to order per the client’s needs.

This also became a market saturated by hacks and rookies that made their money by them being the blind teaching the blinder.

So now what was once a very strong and professionally dominated market, became nothing more than a wasteland of money grubbing, hungry amateurs stepping all over each other to make a dime.

Then the economy took a nose dive and it even got worse. Opportunists selling their souls to make pennies for their labor.

It is really all so sad.

So I got into a market that is growing daily. Sure there are a lot of hacks and scammers in this field, but consumers are becoming very well educated and can smell a rat when it's close.

I'm referring to the Internet. Some of us work very hard to develop and market our Web Sites. We take pride in knowing that we doing a service for the users, advertisers and of course ourselves.

And I am happy to say that I now am proud of what I do and I work hard every day to make my sites better.
